Councilmember Ysabel Jurado Advances $360 Million Measure ULA Investment to Deliver Affordable Housing Across Los Angeles

Posted on 04/17/2026

LOS ANGELES – Councilmember Ysabel Jurado today led the advancement of a $360 million investment of Measure ULA revenue to build, preserve, and expand affordable housing citywide, marking one of the largest single commitments of local housing funds in the city’s history.

“Today’s action moves this historic investment one step closer to delivering real housing solutions for Angelenos,” said Councilmember Jurado. “As Chair, I’m focused on moving these Measure ULA dollars from promise to progress so we can build and preserve more than 4,000 affordable housing units citywide. Voters demanded action, and we are delivering it.”

If approved by the full Council, the funding will support more than 4,000 affordable housing units across 80 projects, turning voter-approved Measure ULA dollars into tangible housing solutions for Angelenos.

Council District 14 will see the largest share of this investment, with more than 1,700 affordable housing units across 25 projects, bringing critical resources to neighborhoods facing some of the city’s highest housing costs and displacement pressures.

As Chair of the Ad Hoc Committee on Measure ULA, Councilmember Jurado is leading the city’s review and oversight of how these historic investments are implemented, with a focus on ensuring that approved funding results in real housing outcomes. The committee is focused on accountability, coordination, and delivering results.

Today’s actions build on the city’s broader efforts to maximize the impact of Measure ULA. In addition to this investment, $14 million has been allocated to the ULA Emergency Income Support Program, which provides up to $19,000 in financial assistance to low-income renters living with seniors or people with disabilities.

“In CD14, where nearly 70% of residents are renters, these historic investments will build, preserve, and enhance more than 1,700 units of affordable housing, while also providing direct housing support,” said Councilmember Jurado. “Together, these efforts will help working families, seniors, and people with disabilities stay in their neighborhoods.”

Councilmember Jurado encourages eligible Angelenos to learn more and apply before the April 30 deadline.
